DIRECTOR / TRUSTEE REPORT

The Falklands Veterans Foundation (FVF) remains as a non-membership organisation, therefore relies entirely on voluntary income from the generosity of the general public and events organised by our few volunteers to whom we owe a great deal.

The Lottery Board unfortunately turned down our bid for the proposed house in Port Stanley , reasons given were the lack of specialised medical care required for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) sufferers and the cost of flights to the Falkland Islands which were two points that we had covered in the application.

The house in Port Stanley still remains the charities main objective and we will be downsizing and getting new plans drawn up. We will then identify and approach various Trust's for funding.

During 2005 the FVF has continued to help a substantial amount of Falklands Veterans with the assistance of the Soldiers, Sailors Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) an association that we will continue to work closely with.
